Crash Course Sewing ^Top
Want to learn to sew? This quick class will teach you everything you need to get started! You’ll learn how to thread the machine, wind the bobbin, adjust tension, change needles, and troubleshoot. You’ll sew straight lines, turns and curves. Also, you’ll learn about sewing techniques like seam allowances, grainlines, pinning, and ironing for projects. After this class you’ll be set for any of our project based classes. No Supplies needed!

2 hour class - $24

Beginning Sewing - Make a Pillow ^Top
In this class you'll learn how to operate a sewing machine while making a cute pillow. You'll learn how to measure and cut your fabric, how to sew and how to press.

3 hour class - $36

Please bring the following:
• One pillow form in desired size (12" square, 14" square, 16" square, 18" square)
• Cotton fabric to cover the form - about one yard
• Matching thread
• Fabric scissors
• Pins
• Seam Ripper
• Ruler
• Pen & Paper to take notes

Beginning Sewing - Make a Totebag ^Top
In this class you'll learn how to operate a sewing machine while making a fun totebag. You'll learn how to measure and cut your fabric, how to sew and how to press.

4 hour class - $48

The A-Line Skirt ^Top
This fun class will teach you everything you need to make a super fashionable A-Line skirt with the Mahnee Titus Perfect Skirt pattern! You’ll learn how to read a pattern and understand construction techniques like seam allowances, pinning, and ironing for projects. This is a great follow up to any of our beginning classes.

Handbags 1 ^Top
Ever wanted to make your own cute handbag? Then this is the class for you sugar! In this class you’ll make a pattern and sew a handbag of your own fabulous design using your own fabric. All sorts of little tricks and secrets to making a professional looking handbag will be covered. You will learn how to make and adjust handbag patterns, how to use fusible to make bags stiff, tips on choosing fabrics & trims, about different types of closures and handles plus sewing and pressing tips.

4 hour class - $48

Please bring the following:
• 2/3 yard cotton fabric for outside of bag and straps
• 2/3 yard of cotton or satin for lining and pocket
• 2/3 yard of Décor Bond or Fuse-A-Shade heavyweight fusible interfacing
• 1 yard of lightweight fusible interfacing
• I set of magnetic snaps
• Handles (optional)
• Trims (ribbon, silk flowers, buttons, etc., optional)

Handbags 2 ^Top
Have you made a basic handbag? Ready to move on to something a bit more advanced? Then this is the class for you! In this class you’ll make a very current slouchy shoulder bag and will learn how to make and adjust handbag patterns, use fusible webbing and canvas to make bags sturdy, attach purse feet, install rivets and use plastic canvas to make a hard purse bottom.

4 hour class - $48

Please bring the following:
• ½ yard heavy weight/decorator weight cotton fabric for body of bag
• ½ yard regular weight/quilting weight cotton fabric for lining and pocket
• 1 yard Heat & Bond or Wonder Under fusible webbing
• ½ yard cotton canvas
• Leather or vinyl belt for the handle (1 to 1 ½” wide)
• Matching thread
• 4 purse feet
• 1 piece of plastic needlepoint canvas
• 2 sets of rivets
• 2 2" O-rings
• 1 Magnetic snap set

Handbags 3 ^Top
Scared of zippers? Don’t be because this class will teach you how to insert a zipper into a lined bag. We’ll make a fun and functional lined makeup bag with a wrist strap and zip top. You’ll never fear the zipper again!

3 hour class - $36

• 14” non separating zipper
• 1/3 yard cotton fabric
• Matching thread
• Fabric scissors

Introduction to Draping & Patterndrafting ^Top
Do you have a dressform and don’t know what it’s good for other than hemming skirts? Have you been wanting to create your own designs? In this class we’ll go over the basics of draping and patterndrafting. We’ll drape a basic bodice and straight skirt in muslin and then transfer the drape to flat pattern and true it up. If time allows, we’ll then cut and sew the skirt. Once you’ve draped a basic skirt and bodice you’ll be able to start creating all different types of garments.

6 hour class - $72

Please bring the following:
• Dress form
• 3 yards of muslin (you can also use any cheap cotton, bedsheets, etc.)
• 2 yards of dot pattern paper
• 10 yards of narrow black twill tape (1/8” or 1/4”)
• straight pins
• pencil and eraser
• 2x18” C-Thru ruler
• curved ruler (French curve or hip curve is good)
• tape measure

Introduction to Fashion Sketching ^Top
Are you interested in fashion design? Are you inspired by Project Runway? This class will discuss the basics of clothing design. We’ll discuss flat sketching, the elements of design and how to bring your designs to life.

2.5 hour class - $30

How to Start a Crafty Business ^Top
Do you make cute handbags? How about funky jewelry? Do people stop you in the street and ask you about the awesome skirt that you made? Do people constantly tell you that you should sell the things you make? Have you always wanted to start your own business but didn’t know how? This fun and informative class will teach you the basics on starting your own crafty business.

2 hour class - $24

How to get a reseller’s permit so you can buy your materials tax-free
How register a business name
How to get a business bank account

Make a Duct Tape Dress Form ^Top
Have you ever wanted your own dress form but were shocked at the prices? Duplicate your exact figure. Learn in just an afternoon how to make a custom form from duct tape and a T-shirt! You’ll finally be able to alter your clothes accurately! This is a fun class to take with a friend!

6 hour class - $72

Please bring the following:
• 2 to 3 60 yard rolls of duct tape (Ace Brand is the best; avoid Nashua)
• a T-shirt that can be destroyed
• something to tie your hair up
• scissors
• 2 large bags of poly fill pillow stuffing
